Well, Sunday itself has been a hoot. We rose by 7 am and headed straight to it complimentary breakfast downstairs which was pretty good. I had eggs, bacon, sausages, apples and a couple of small pancakes with unsweet tea and orange juice to drink. Nancee had eggs, apples and well In not sure what else because I was busy eating. Delilah has fruit loops abs yogurt.
We then hung out in the lobby a good half hour where Nancee got a cup of fancy cold coffee from Starbucks in the lobby. We jointly drank just over half throughout the day. Delilah and I spent an hour in the room while Nancee went out for a few things.
It rained up until 9 or so, but by the time she got back, it was sunny. She napped while I took Delilah to the 5th floor roof top mini golf. It was soaked from the rain so of course Delilah jumped in all the puddles like her cartoon hero Peppa. From there I noticed that the giant outdoor pool was empty. I decided to place my fear of public pools on hold for her and take her swimming.
Ok, so we swam outdoors in the cold-ish pool for an hour and a half. Nancee pretended she was coming out but only made it as far as the jacuzzi by the outer door. When we transitioned inside after about 1.5 hours outside we spent easily the next 2 hours inside in the various pools, jacuzzis and lazy river as the video evidence will certify.
Delilah had an absolute blast. We all watched tv for perhaps half an hour before crashing and slept until 6Pm when we woke and head to the Red Lobster nearby, or as Delilah so cutesy out it, “Tasty Lobster.” Delilah ate well and finished her meal off with ice cream and cake. A bit of a mistake so late in the evening but she sure loved it. We had a friendly waiter who took out a lobster for Delilah to Che k out. She always loves that.
We finally got her down for the duration around 12. I got to sleep in until about 4.40 am. I did manage to get everything and everyone in the car and roll out of the parking deck at pre Isley 5:00 am.
They slept as I drove back to the house just outside Albemarle with light traffic. It took me exactly 2 hours and 59 minutes with no stops.
Nancee and I had a regular workday, more or less proving that a mini vacation starting after work on a Saturday can work.
