The Beast for The Beast
The Beast for The Beast

Saturday I went for a quick chat with my trainer, Boyd who helped me loose an bunch of body fat 2 or 3 years back. Unfortunately, he’s now based in Salisbury, but since I’ve parted ways with Gold’s Gym, it’s probably for the best. There are some challenges to getting myself back into some sort of fitness. As of now holding a guitar or writing a new script or creating some fantastical Poser render all take a back seat to adhering to my new regime, whenever we nail down exactly what that is. I know that it will involve a lot of work on a Life Fitness Treadmill I’m currently in the process of purchasing. It’s currently being refurbished for me. Those aren’t cheap, but I think just biting the bullet and getting a commercial model is the way to go for me. I’ve worn one home model treadmill completely out already.

Bring it on!
Bring it on!

The plan involves a specific diet which is fairly specific, almost daily low impact cardio, some high impact cardio and extensive trainer sessions Sat & Sunday in Salisbury. Nancee is helping with the food, but to succeed with this long term I’ll need to get in on the prep myself.

I’m looking forward to getting this on the road and getting into some kind of shape. If successful with the fitness improvements, perhaps I can return to the jiujitsu mat some day. The last time working with Boyd, my results weren’t easy but they did come fast. At that time I was in a hurry to get fitter for a independent movie role I was supposed to be lined up for inside of 2 months. So the diet and the workout were rather extreme. This time around there’s no rush. I just need to find a plan I can stich with long, long term.

I don’t really expect anyone to really care about my self improvement efforts, hence leaving these stories buried on my site. They’re really just here for my own use as kind of a journal of my thoughts on the experiences. What works. What didn’t etc.
