Speaking of music, I’ve started something new with friends old and new. Phil Hartsell,  from the last iteration of Blak Saturn, who had one show in common with me in that band has agreed to join me in refining some new music, both pop  and contemporary christian, as has my old friend from my high school days, Grant Whitley.

Who knows where this will go. We may try to track down a female singer to make this really stand apart from our previous bands. The focus will of course be original music. Ya’ll know me. The first get together was a 3 hour session of fun and fellowship putting a few tunes together. It was actually really fun. Looking forward to getting together with those guys next weekend. We did get one new original together and perhaps I’ll post that for posterity very soon.

Perhaps this could be the next iteration of MARANG or even a new standalone band brand. It’s just really exciting to find myself in a place where my new song ideas are accepted without and sort of preconceived notion of what is or is not the band sound, as with AZ. It’s cool.
