Here’s a tiny preview of Two Spies, coming to a stage near you very soon. Many of these songs we are still working out the instrumentation on. Solos and backing vocals are somewhat improvised at this point but for the 2 or 3 of you that actually take the time to listen, it gives a good hint at what our live sound will be like. We’ll be performing at the Little Toyko Lounge on February 27, 2015 as part of the Songwriters Showcase and then following that up with another local gig to be announced shortly.

We’ve been rehearsing for almost 2 months now, lining up a variety of originals and eclectic covers. To keep myself growing I try to play a lot more than just guitar on most of these. We’ll be hitting all the classic arts from our own influences as well as a few other popular requests. The Beatles, Elvis Costello and even Johnny Cash are all in the works.

I’ll be launching a Face Book fan page after our first show. I feel like I am left holding the bag administering literally half a dozen old band sites. You know I only get stuck with the promotional duties because none of the other dudes I’ve played with in the past have been willing to make the effort. I do have high hopes for this little outfit and am having a great time playing with Terry so far. We’ll see what the future brings.
